Emergency First Aid Courses
FMC are pleased to offer the HABC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work as an accredited qualification. The course will familiarise students with the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and assisting a casualty who is suffering from injury and illness. Students will learn and be assessed on their practical ability to deal with casualties who have stopped breathing, are unconscious, are bleeding and suffering from shock.
Candidates are assessed by ongoing practical assessment by the Tutor throughout the course. All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.

- Casualty communication
- Action in an emergency - primary survey
- Top-to-toe survey
- Recovery position

- CPR
- Choking
- Epilepsy
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Suspected heart attack
- Anaphylactic shock
- Asthma
- Burns
- Head injuries
- Diabetes
- Fractures/spinal
The course duration is 6 hours.
